Derby Central United Reformed Church 50th Anniversary Weekend.
On Saturday 3rd October the church held an Open Day with support from the various organisation who use the church facilities.
Examples of the displays can be seen below.
Following the open day the Rev David Downing led our very special 50th Anniversary service.
Following the service members of the congregation socialised over coffee while lunch was being prepared.
As is befitting a 50th (Golden) annivesary the lunch tables were set with golden plates.
While we were all socialising down stairs our volunteer kitchen ladies had been preparing our excellent buffet lunch.
Most people opted to take lunch in the hall with a few overflowing into room 2.
An essential item for any anniversary is a cake wich was cut by the oldest and youngest members of the congregation.
