We have three Meeting Rooms and a larger Hall, all on the first floor, which are available for use by outside bodies. Each of them is air-conditioned and equipped with comfortable furniture, facilities for preparing refreshments and highspeed WIFI. Additionally, a kitchen off the hall can be hired for the preparation of rather more ambitious meals. Access is by stairs or lift, and modern toilets, including baby-changing facilities and an accessible unit are available on this floor.
We regret that we can offer no storage space for users’ equipment, and car parking is not available, though there are a number of surface car parks within 5 minutes’ walk.
Each room can be hired by the hour, on a regular or one-off basis. Community Groups are charged at a discounted rate which normally includes also the attendance of a Duty Manager.
The Hirers for their part are required to show proof of insurance and a completed risk-assessment, which will include Covid-19 risks and also an approved Safeguarding Policy where there is a possibility of children or vulnerable adults attending
Normal Capacity 40 seated at tables; 60 in rows. These figures are halved when Social Distancing is observed.
A projector is available on request, as is also a lapel and a hand-held microphoneforusewiththebuilt-inloudspeakersystem.
Lounge-style furniture with coffee tables Will comfortably seat 20 people; 10under social-distancing procedure. Equipped with coffee-making facilities.
“Committee-room” type furniture. Will comfortably seat 25 people; 15 under social-distancing procedure. Equipped with coffee-making facilities and a Yamaha “Claviola” keyboard is available.
A sound-proof moveable partition separates these two rooms: see below.
When the sound-proof partition between rooms 2 and 3 is opened, a spacious room measuring 36 ft x 24 ft becomes available.
